One cat, loads of dogs, two ferrets and a dog named Mouse made for a great time taking photos with Santa Claus at the Central Missouri Humane Society’s open house last Thursday.

Setting up animals is always chaotic, even when it’s only one or two.

When we had a little downtime, we subjected Gracie Ann to a photo with reindeer antlers on. She was a little anxious because the photos happened to be in the room CMHS uses for veterinarian exams. I think she expected the vet to pop out at any moment and give her a shot.
She still needs a home!

This is late notice, but TraptLight Photography will be taking Santa pictures for pets and people at the Central Missouri Humane Society’s Holiday Open House tonight. The photos are pretty standard - you and/or a pet in/on/around Santa’s lap - but they support a good cause!

And while you’re there, check out some animals in need of a home. Our former-foster dog Gracie Ann needs one!

We recently had an opportunity to shoot something a little bit different for a local nonprofit: a press conference. Here’s Gov. Matt Blunt promoting the Own Your Future campaign to help spread information about long-term care, a topic that’s nice regardless of your politics.

I love this one. The governor is about my height, but the other guy (Director of Mo. DIFP Doug Ommen) is really tall.
