Every Thursday in June and September, downtown Columbia erupts into the Twilight Festival. The streets fill with people. The sidewalks fill with musicians, booths and petitioners. Parking is nonexistent. It’s incredible. Yesterday we braved it and brought back some photos.

Amanda’s absolute favorite place to eat. The vegetarian village rolls come with this sauce we suspect contains trace amounts of crack.

But we got ours from Sparky’s… here’s the famed statue of their canine mascot.

And last… someone spray painted literary characters all over downtown. Here’s Alice.

It’s Wes!

We recently had the opportunity to take pictures of Lesly’s dogs to help out the Humane Society. She had five AND a foster dog. Needless to say we’re incredibly jealous!

Here’s Wally. Or was it Willy? I’m not positive on the name, but I am certain that we were told he’s a trouble maker. He looks pretty innocent to me.

When we started, Penny acted a little wary of the clicking shutter. But when you’re decked out in pink bows you can only pretend to be shy for so long.

Mona had just gotten a nice haircut. This is early in the day. Later she may have gotten just a little bit dirty playing in a very large puddle.

Elvis here is a hilarious little bundle of hair, energy and character.

Magnus is quite the star at catch. (I really like how this one turned out. It’s probably my favorite picture from the day.)

And finally, we have Cujo. This little chihuahua is Lesly’s foster dog and needs a permanent home. He really tugged on our heartstrings.

One of our awesome June couples, Jenn and Jeb, were in town this weekend, so we decided to meet up to go over wedding details and to take a few engagement shots.  They are both MU alums and big football fans, so Jenn got us in to Faurot Field for the shoot.

We also took a few pictures outside the Stadium.
